A message from the community

Dear Sir:

Everyone in our community appreciates the excellent pump that you have drilled.  You have saved us from drinking from the creek and its dirty water.

We are looking forward to further development with your agency.

Thank you so very much

Signed:

Ruth Cole

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Wrouth Town is a town that falls within Grand Bassa County behind the Palm Mill junction. Wrouth in Bassa means oil because when the town was established it was considered by the people a place that had everything pertaining to their way of life to their disposal. Women and children are the most in terms of population count.

Their main source of water had been open hand dug wells, creeks or spring.  The open dug wells and creek they used for drinking brought sicknesses like diarrhea, typhoid and running stomach upon them.

It was noticed by our Health and Hygiene Team these out-break of sicknesses derived from not only unsafe drinking water but also children of a no latrine situation.  The parents of school-going children denied them from school because the no money is sparce.

There is also no clinic in the Town. The people when sick go to Bokay Town for treatment. The H and H Team of Lifewater taught them how they can improve their health condition by them practicing what were taught in the Workshop.

The people appreciated the entire Lifewater family for giving the knowledge of  how to sustain a healthy life by keeping in their minds of the entire Town, the basic Health and Hygiene daily routine.

This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
