A message from the community

Dear Lifewater & Sponsors,

We the dwellers, youth and elders of the Barclay Farm Community, greet you in the Name of Jesus.  We say thank you to the Lifewater family for giving us a hand pump that will supply us with safe drinking water.  We are very grateful to God and the sponsors for this great gift.

Thank you,

Ma Yeapu, Woman's Group Leader

Dear Lifewater & Sponsors,

On behalf of the community we like to extend our thanks and compliment to the health and hygiene team of Lifewater Liberia. We appreciate you for organizing such an educational workshop to help save our life through safe drinking water and good hygiene practice.

In this light we want to say thank you for providing such a essential and natural resource to our community.

Thank you,

Mulbah Peters, Town Chief

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Barclay Farm Quarter#1 is located at the left wing of the Barclay farm along the main highway leading to Bong county, separating it from Barclay Farm Quarter#2. Approximately 780 people live here, mostly women and children who make a living by petty trade and farming.

The lack of safe drinking water has been a major challenge, the women and children had to cross a major highway to get to water every day. Only a few days before the Lifewater team arrived a little girl was killed crossing that highway.

When the people saw the arrival of the Lifewater team, they were very happy and grateful to welcome them. A Health & Hygiene Workshop was conducted on May 16, 2019 with 22 participants.

Safe water now flows for this community, thanks to Lifewaters generous donors.

This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
