Dear Sir: After many, many years of drinking from contaminated dug wells and drawing water from shallow creeks, we are infinitely greatful for this new drilled well. The information given to us from the Workshop has revealed to us some of the reasons why we regularly get sick in our village. We just didn't realize the impact that water had on our health especially to our little ones. Thank you for saving us and for helping us with this new water point. Please extend our thanks and appreciations to all who have helped make this water project become more than a mere prayer but a concrete reality. Thank you Francis Blamah Village Chief
The Health & Hygiene workshop for Mende Town Quarter#6 was well attended. People were happy to learn a better way of living and eagerly participated in the lessons. This town has had trouble in the past with frequent sickness, likely related to where they draw their water. It is a populated area and sanitation is poor. Time was spent helping them understand the need for keeping the well area clean and how to care for the water that they draw from this new well. This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
