A message from the community |
Dear Sir and Madame, It is with exceedingly great joy that we express our thanksgiving for the blessing of these tanks. Many hours every day we spend in search of water, and now we are so excited to have more tanks to ease this burden. The tanks are usually full of water because they are attached to such a large roof. Whenever it rains, even a little, we have hundreds of gallons of water waiting for us. The water is close, so we don't need to walk far on dangerous paths carrying heavy buckets or leading our water donkey. We are so happy that our girls spend all their time in school now instead of fetching water. Thanks for making this dream come true! Such kindness we can not repay, except with our heartfelt prayers and gifts of thanksgiving. Thank you! Heaster Yoilli Woman Group Leader |
Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |
3 - 2000 liter tanks were distributed to this part of the community. Each was established at a central home with that household taking responsibility for the tank and catchment system's care. Sinendet is a semi arid district. Residents travel for long distances in search of water. With the new water catchment systems everyone is really excited for there will now be water at hand during the dry season. Now that precious time can be used in much better ways. |
