A message from the community |
Dear sir, Please accept our enthusiastic gratitude for your kindness in bringing these 3 large tanks to our elderly and disabled members of our self help group. We have been saving all we can and it is taking a very long time, now you have stepped up along side of us and brought us fresh hope and encouragement. We will continue to save for more tank solutions to our severe water problems. We humbly thank you for your kindness that brought us these gifts. Peter Kpnor, Town Mayor |
Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |
Self Help Groups are identified groups registered by the Government under the Ministry of labour, social, security and services and with that they are able to approach organizations for assistance according to their objective e.g water problem, food security, Education of their children, small scale business/farming. Mostly the Self-Help Groups are women but here are others where even men are in cooperated and especially CBOs (Community Based Organizations). The Groups ranges mostly from 15 members to about 60 members and they have monthly contributions mostly from KSh.200 (US $ 2) to KSh.500 (US $ 5) according to the strength of the members. We are blessed by your gift to match what they have saved and help them realize their goals. |
