This is a populated area with 1000 people living here. Up to 900 will access this new well. Some people dug a hole in their yards to get non-potable water for use to wash cloths etc but to obtain drinking water was always a big problem. The nearest well is about 1 km away and we go a couple of times a day there for water to drink. It is so hot now, we also need about 15 gallons per week of bagged water per week, which is costly, for our drinking water. Jean Louis chantale will be our caretaker of this new well. |
