Greater Kahongo in Kisumu county did not have accessible  clean source of water. The village well's hand pump had broken down, forcing residents to either buy clean drinking water from vendors or drink from ponds. Clean drinking water was usually very expensive, and so many of them drank from ponds.

Recently, a team from Stada stopped by the village, rehabilitated the well and replaced its broken hand pump. Thanks to our donors, everyone in Greater Kahongo village has access to clean and safe drinking water.
