There was no source of safe water in the Zuruapi Community after the local well's hand pump stopped working. "The only source we had was dirty which caused us pain and problems by infecting us with various illnesses, making us frequent visitors to the hospital," says Hauwa, a female resident. Recently, Lifewater Canada donors enabled us to replace the pump and rehabilitate the well. "With the assistance of Lifewater, safe water is now available," Hauwa notes. "We are grateful and happy for the help rendered to us all as a community. God bless Lifewater."
