Salamatu is from Gusubi, a rural community in Niger State. "We have been suffering to get water in our community because we have to share our only source of water with animals that defecate in the same river. Before we can make use of the water, we have to use alum to purify it. We cannot always afford that. As a result of the regular use of unsafe water, our children have gotten sick with stomach-related illnesses. Also, carrying heavy buckets from the river has harmed the health of our women and children." Salamatu joined his entire community in thanking Lifewater for the rehabilitation of their well, including the installation of a new hand pump, and praying that God will bless our donors abundantly.
