A message from the community

We appreciate Lifewater for the great work, effort, and kindness shown to our community. We appreciate you coming to repair our damaged well pump. (While it was still broken), we were drinking water from the river. It is unhealthy for our children. But today, we thank almighty God for bringing Lifewater to our aid. May the Lord bless your organization. -- Mohammed Kure, Community Leader

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Five months ago, when the hand pump on their only well broke down, children and adults living in Ndayamma Paiko were forced to begin relying on tainted sources. "We had to start using water from the stream, which is far from the community," recalls community spokesman Muhammad Inuisa. "Every time it rains, the stream's water becomes polluted, making it unfit for human consumption. Due to the contaminated water we drank, waterborne diseases were common. Therefore, we are overjoyed and grateful beyond measure for your help (by repairing the pump so safe water is available to everyone again). May God grant the Lifewater success on all fronts."
