Dear Sponsors, We extend to you our compliments and sincere best wishes. We commend you for rehabilitating our pump which had been down for more than two years. Since this pump spoiled, we have had a problem with having safe drinking water. We are highly grateful to you for your timely intervention. May God continue to bless you. Boakai Williams, Community Elder
Chocolate City Community is along the Somalia Drive in Montserrado County in Liberia. Lifewater Canada provided a well and pump in 1998 but the pump failed in 2016. Since then, people in the community have been forced to buy water for their families' needs, or to rely on open hand-dug wells that were not always safe. Lifewater returned to Chocolate City and replaced the badly damaged pump pad, and the pump itself. The people told the repair team they were very happy to have Lifewater return and provide safe water for everyone again.
