We write to appreciate you for a job well done by constructing a new well for our community. This project came at a time when we had a dire need for safe drinking water. We hope that this good work will be taken to other communities. Moses Kolleh and Samuel Kombei, Community Leaders
Kokoville is in Dolo Town, in Liberia's Margibi County. It was established in 1990 during the Liberian civil war and gradually populated by people fleeing the fighting. Today, there are about 1,500 children and adults, many of them farmers, in Kokoville. For more than 30 years, the struggling community's only source of water was open hand-dug wells that were often contaminated and caused many people to become sick with typhoid and other diarrheal diseases, plus skin rashes. Thanks to our donors, Lifewater visited Kokoville recently and drilled a well that is providing safe and accessible water to everyone. We also conducted a valuable health and hygiene workshop. Community leader Rose Tamba, on behalf of all residents, publicly thanked Lifewater and its supporters for their new well.
