Beverly Hill Community was founded in 2006 but only recently gained access to safe drinking water. For many years, residents walked long distances to reach the only available water sources -- hand-dug wells that are open to the elements and therefore prone to contamination. Those would could afford it also bought water from local vendors. When Lifewater learned of Beverly Hill residents' struggles, thanks to our donors, we came to the community and drilled a well that is providing safe and easily accessible water to everyone. The team also conducted a Health and Hygiene workshop for the locals to ensure they know how to keep the water from their new well safe from contamination.
