A message from the community
The administration of Garzon Public High School extends our appreciation for the rehabilitation of our only well that was down for two years. We are very grateful. -- School Administrators

The Garzon Public High School's well was serving the water needs of not only 300 students but also the surrounding community. When the hand-powered pump on the well stopped working two years ago, many people could not afford to buy safe water from expensive local vendors and had to drink from contaminated sources. This dirty water meant children and adults were constantly at risk of contracting potentially deadly diarrheal diseases. But recently, generous Lifewater Canada donors funded the rehabilitation of the communal well, including a new hand pump. This initiative has restored the entire community's access to safe water and improved health.
