A message from the community

We as Kochere community are pleased to appreciate Lifewater Canada and STADA Kenya for the repair of our hand pump. You did a good job and we are so grateful for your help.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

The Kochere community's water well served about 600 children and adults before its hand-powered pump broke down recently. It forced residents to gather water from a dirty river or buy it from vendors charging about $4 each week. For a community where most members survive on $1 a day, this bottled water was unaffordable. Thanks to our donors, Lifewater visited Kochere and repaired the pump so the community can again have consistent access to safe water at no extra cost. Residents are protected from waterborne diseases and no longer needing to spend scarce dollars on water vendors.
