The entire Kabongo Secondary School community is grateful for the 10,000-litre tank and the gutters your organization installed. We appreciate you very much. -- School Administrators
Because there wasn't any nearby source, the 76 students attending Kabongo Secondary School in Kisumu County had to bring their own water each day for drinking and washing. Neither the school nor parents could afford any other option. Then Lifewater, thanks to our donors, arrived and installed a rain harvesting and storage system that is providing water to meet everyone's needs even during dry seasons. The system includes a large 10,000-litre storage tank and hand-washing station. School principal Elizabeth Ochieng says the new facilities are a welcome improvement that will make it easier and safer for students to learn, and likely attract more children wanting to enroll.
