Dear Sir/Madame

I am the pastor of the Army of Christ Church and I speak for all the members. This community is in area called Champin in Cap Haitian. Cap Haitian is the 2nd largest city of Haiti and we're supposed to have good water with no problem. This is not the case. Most of the people who live in the community don't have access to water. Sometimes we pray to have rain so we can get water. The bad part is when it's raining most of the houses get flooded. We have no government to help us to resolved any of these problems. Most of the of the children here get sick with Typhoid and worms because there parents can’t buy good water for them. Now with this new well and a new pump everybody can have access to Good water.

I'm very happy because with the hand pump because we don’t need to spend any money to buy fuel for pumping water. Even though the well in inside of the church yard, it is a public well so everybody can come get water anytime.

Our church has 500 members. Our city is large with over 10,000 people in it.. we expect many people to access our well, possibly 2000 but it is hard to tell. Bagged water is available for those who can afford it and we spend about 2000 goudes weekly on water ($20.00 CDN)
