A message from the community

The nearby river in Kasaoke community in Kisumu County is a seasonal river, but also a nearby source of water to the villagers. The villagers would often collect water from the river, but when it would dry up, they were forced to walk for several kilometers to seek other sources of water. To ensure that the community did not just have access to water, but that the villagers have access to a reliable source of clean water, Lifewater Canada funded the construction of a new well in Kasaoke village and installed a new hand pump. Thanks to our donors, the grateful residents are enjoying access to clean and safe water from their village well.
