A message from the community

The community of Ndithi would wish to say thank you to Lifewater Canada and Lifewater RESCUE Kenya for sending a team to repair our broken hand pump. We are so happy and blessed to have access to clean water. Thanks lots.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Residents of Ndithi community in Kenya’s Mwingi region would collect clean water from their communal well. However, for over four months, the well’s hand pump was not working. The only other means for the villagers to access water was to walk for over an hour to collect water from a well in a dry riverbed. Sadly, the shallow well’s water was not safe for drinking.

Thankfully, our hand pump repair team recently stopped by the village, and thanks to our donors, repaired the broken hand pump. Everyone in Ndithi Community now has access to clean water.
