A message from the community

The community of Kalange Primary School would wish to say a big thank you to Lifewater Canada and Lifewater RESCUE Kemya for fixing our broken hand pump and giving us another chance to access clean water. May God bless you all.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Communal well is an oasis of hope for the mostly aging residents of Kalange village in Mwingi, Kitui county. The well's close proximity to residents' homes, coupled with its consistent flow of clean water, has always ensured that the residents have easy access to clean water. But when the hand pump on the well stopped working, it cut off the supply of clean water, forcing the residents to walk for kilometers in search of water.

Thankfully, Lifewater Canada funded the repair of the broken hand pump, therefore restoring the flow of clean water in Kalange community, and making access to clean water easy for both the young and the older members of the community.
