I am Pastor Dauda, a missionary here in Ledi 2. the community of about 400 people, had long struggled with the absence of latrines. People resorted to using open fields for defecation, which not only led to the spread of diseases like cholera and typhoid but also left many feeling embarrassed and unsafe. After Lifewater hygiene and sanitation training, the community received newly built latrines that dramatically improved their living conditions. The health of the community improved, with fewer people falling ill from sanitation related diseases. Families now had a clean and safe environment, and the children, once frequently absent from school due to illness, were able to attend regularly. The community expressed heartfelt thanks to Lifewater, recognizing the life changing impact the latrines had on their health and dignity. Thank you Lifewater for coming to empower the community. We feel well covered and safer making use of our new toilet.
