A dirty swamp was all the option for the residents of Kanyandeje village in Kisumu county to access water. unfortunately, the swamp's water is not safe for drinking, so the villagers would often grapple with diseases such as diarrhea and stomach aches. Fortunately for them, Lifewater Canada funded the drilling of a new well in Kanyandeje village and installed a new hand pump. The new well has given the residents access to clean and safe water, while curbing the spread of waterborne diseases in the village.
