Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

The failure of this hand pump on one of the wells serving Gbamokollie community contributed to a shortage of clean water, as its clean water became inaccessible. The residents would face a huge struggle when it came to collecting drinking water. It was either they make long trips to other clean sources of water or make short and quick trips to nearby but unsafe sources of water. To ensure that the residents had abundance of clean water in the nearby clean and safe sources of water, Lifewater Canada funded the repair of the broken hand pump, therefore giving them access to clean water.
