Gbako LGA, like many areas in the state, faces infrastructural challenges, including consistent access to clean water, particularly during the dry season. For communities like Pati-Ndaji, the mosque often serves as a central point not only for religious life but also for community well-being. For Usman and the worshippers at Pati-Ndaji Central Mosque, the scarcity of water posed significant challenges to their daily lives and religious practices. As Usman recounts: "My name is Usman, and I live in Pati-Ndaji Central Mosque. The mosque and its surrounding environment faced significant challenges due to water scarcity. The dry season would leave us with no access to water for ablution and other activity, worshippers had to travel long distances to fetch water before attending prayers. This situation caused delays and made worship feel like a burden rather than a joy." Usman's words highlight the profound impact of water scarcity on the community's spiritual life. The inability to perform ablutions easily and the long journeys to fetch water before prayers disrupted the flow and joy of worship, turning a sacred act into a logistical challenge. The arrival of Lifewater brought a transformative solution to this pressing issue. Usman describes the relief and joy that followed their intervention: "When Lifewater came and rehabilitated the damaged borehole at the mosque, it brought immense relief to us all. Now, can perform their ablutions without stress, the villagers can also now drink clean safe water, and the mosque has become a more welcoming place for everyone, including women and children." The rehabilitation of the borehole at the central mosque has had a far-reaching impact. It has not only eased the burden of worship by providing readily available water for ablution but has also extended access to clean and safe drinking water to the wider community. The mosque has become a more accessible and welcoming space for all, fostering a greater sense of community well-being. Usman's concluding words express the deep gratitude of Pati-Ndaji: "The clean water has also benefited the surrounding community, as people can fetch water for their daily needs. We thank Lifewater for their incredible support and effort to better our lives." This story underscores the powerful role that access to clean water plays in not only meeting basic needs but also in enhancing religious life and strengthening community bonds. Your continued support enables Lifewater to bring such transformative change to communities like Pati-Ndaji, fostering well-being and hope
