Women in Hammer Field community would miss out on income-earning opportunities because they would spend so much time in search of water after the two wells in their community stopped working. The wells that have been serving the community for years were so old and dilapidated that they were not in the best condition to provide clean water to the residents, setting women off on long trips to collect water for their families But recently, Lifewater Canada in partnership with Lifewater Liberia, visited Hammer Field town and, thanks to our donors, rehabilitated the broken well, including this one. The work included installing brand a new hand pump. The grateful community has safe water again.
