Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

The Diligence Academy, located in a densely populated rural area, faced a crippling water crisis that left its proprietor, Henry Ojo, constantly wondering how they even managed. Before Lifewater's intervention, the school spent a significant amount daily on purchased water, which was never enough. The nearest alternative was a broken well a frustrating half-kilometer away, leaving both pupils and staff in distress. "Children would cry from thirst after break time," Henry recounted, painting a vivid picture of the daily struggle. The lack of water led to severe sanitation issues; "Once, our toilet overflowed for three days because there was no water to flush it. The stench filled the air, and many pupils stayed away." This desperate situation severely impacted attendance and created an unbearable learning environment. However, Lifewater's arrival brought a profound and unprecedented change to their circumstances with the drilling a new well right within the school premises. "Water now flows freely within our premises," Henry shared with immense gratitude. The impact of Lifewater's efforts has been truly transformative for Diligence Academy. The constant financial drain of buying insufficient water is gone. Children no longer suffer from thirst or miss school due to unsanitary conditions. The once-overflowing toilets are now functional, and pupils can wash their hands after using the toilet, a simple act that drastically improves hygiene and health. "Lifewater came and drilled a well that changed everything," Henry stated, emphasizing the monumental shift. "You brought us peace through clean water. May your impact multiply in places you never imagined." Lifewater's intervention has not only provided a vital resource but has also restored dignity, health, and a conducive learning environment to Diligence Academy.
