Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

LEA Primary School Piri, and the community it served, had been battling a severe and relentless water crisis. For Headmaster Mr. Adamu, the daily struggles were heartbreakingly clear. Pupils were forced to trek to a nearby stream, a source far from safe, to fetch water. The community's open well offered no respite, being "highly contaminated" and a constant source of illness for the children. Teachers resorted to rationing precious sachet water, while their dedicated cleaner would spend hours walking just to fill a single drum for the school's toilets. This dire situation made effective learning and a healthy environment nearly impossible. However, Lifewater's intervention brought the much-needed relief they had desperately prayed for. Lifewater’s presence marked a profound and unprecedented change in their circumstances. The impact of Lifewater's efforts has been truly transformative for LEA Primary School Piri. With a new, reliable source of clean water within the school premises, the children now drink safely and learn in a healthy environment. The constant cycle of waterborne illnesses has been broken, and the arduous task of fetching water from unsafe sources is a thing of the past. "This well made our school viable and vibrant," Mr. Adamu shared, his voice filled with immense gratitude. The shift has brought not just physical health, but a renewed sense of possibility and energy to the entire school community. "Thank you Lifewater for giving us life," Mr. Adamu concluded, expressing the deep appreciation felt by everyone. "May God grant you the desires of your heart. We remain grateful." Lifewater's support has done more than just provide water; it has breathed new life into LEA Primary School Piri, securing a healthier and more promising future for its pupils and the community.
