Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

LEA Primary School Awawa had been facing a daily struggle, directly impacting its pupils' education and well-being. Keke David, a member of the school community, shared the harsh reality: children routinely arrived at school late, exhausted from fetching water from a distant stream before lessons even began. The absence of water meant no functional latrines, leaving their handwashing station as merely an "empty basin." They taught hygiene but couldn't practice it, leading to rapid spread of sickness. However, Lifewater's arrival brought a profound and unprecedented change to their circumstances. Lifewater provided the much-needed solution, transforming the school's environment and the children's lives. The impact of Lifewater's efforts has been truly transformative for LEA Primary School Awawa. The new well is now functional and easily accessible within the school grounds, ending the arduous morning treks for water. Children can drink freely, wash their hands regularly, and contribute to keeping their surroundings clean. This immediate access to water means they now truly understand and practice hygiene, drastically reducing the spread of illness. "All thanks to Lifewater, everything has changed," Keke David expressed, his voice filled with immense gratitude. "We remain grateful to the organization for coming to create a positive impact in our lives. God bless you all in abundance." Lifewater's support has not only provided a vital resource but has also fostered a healthier, more punctual, and truly hygienic learning environment for the children of LEA Primary School Awawa.
