The Favour Academy had been living under the shadow of a severe water crisis, a struggle that brought immense suffering and pain to its pupils and teachers alike. As Proprietor Aboje Abraham recounted, the challenges were dire: pupils were forced to cross a major highway to access water from a distant, contaminated stream. This perilous journey had already led to "a lot of accidents." The water they managed to obtain was dirty and unsafe, yet the children, out of sheer necessity, drank from it. Their environment lacked both water and dignity. They had even attempted to dig a well themselves, but the rocky land proved insurmountable. However, Lifewater's arrival brought a profound and unprecedented change to their circumstances, succeeding where their own efforts had failed. The drilling team endured, refusing to give up, and ultimately brought hope to Favour Academy. The impact of Lifewater's efforts has been truly transformative. With a new well providing clean, flowing water right within the school premises, the dangerous journeys across the highway are now a thing of the past, significantly reducing the risk of accidents. The children no longer have to consume dirty, contaminated water, which will drastically improve their health and well-being. "Now, we have clean flowing water that close to us," Aboje Abraham shared, his voice filled with immense gratitude. "Our name now matches our reality." This new reality means the pains and sufferings of both pupils and teachers have been alleviated, allowing them to focus on learning in a healthy, dignified environment. "Thank you for watering the dreams of these children. May the organization blossom endlessly," Aboje concluded, expressing the deep appreciation felt by the entire Favour Academy community for this life-changing intervention.
