On behalf of GDSS, we wish to thank the organization Lifewater Nigeria for their gesture to rehabilitate our school borehole. Yours faithfully, Ibrahim A. Musa 07067610359
Ibrahim A. Musa, the Vice Principal of Government Day Secondary School, Ebbo, speaks with immense gratitude for a transformative gift that has breathed new life into his school. Before Lifewater's intervention, the institution grappled with severe water challenges that undermined both health and education. "My name is Ibrahim A. Musa, the Vice Principal of Government Day Secondary School, Ebbo. On behalf of the entire school students, staff, and parents, I want to sincerely thank you for the incredible gift of clean water," he begins. He vividly recounts the dire situation: "Before Lifewater intervention, we were in a very difficult situation of water challenges. The borehole in the school compound had broken down for months, students were forced to fetch water from distant and often unsafe water sources. Sometimes, they missed classes just to get a bucket of water." This constant struggle for water severely impacted academic time, as students, particularly girls, faced long, dangerous treks. "Girls especially suffered, as they faced both the long trek and the dangers along the way. It broke our hearts to see young children being distracted from their studies by something as basic as water." The challenges extended beyond students; teachers found it difficult to maintain a clean environment, and "sanitation was a serious challenge, and we feared outbreaks of disease, especially during the dry season when water was scarce." Today, that grim story has been rewritten. "Today, that story has changed all thanks to your timely support," Ibrahim affirms. "Lifewater has fully rehabilitated the borehole, and clean water is now flowing freely within our school again." This crucial intervention has brought an immediate and profound sense of relief and revitalization. The impact is evident in every corner of the school. "The students now come to school with happy faces, and our environment is more hygienic and conducive for learning." The consistent availability of clean water has eliminated a major source of distraction and illness, allowing students to focus on their studies with renewed vigor. Improved sanitation creates a healthier and more dignified learning space, fostering an atmosphere where education can truly thrive. "You revived our hope and strengthened our mission to educate the next generation. Thank you from the depth of our hearts. We pray that God will continue to bless and protect everyone who made this possible. May your kindness return to you a hundredfold," Ibrahim A. Musa concludes, his heartfelt words reflecting the deep appreciation of the entire Government Day Secondary School, Ebbo community. The story stands as a powerful testament to how access to clean water is not merely a utility, but a fundamental catalyst for health, education, and the enduring hope of a brighter future.
