On behalf of Kadna Kilishi community, we wish to appreciate Lifewater for the rehabilitation of our borehole. Thank you for your concerned, we are hoping and expecting more prestigious development Yours faithfully
The Kadna Kilishi community had been severely plagued by waterborne diseases, a direct result of the dirty and contaminated water they were forced to consume and use. Their broken borehole had left them with no access to clean water, exacerbating their suffering. Mrs. Rita Baride, a resident of Kadna Kilishi, speaks with immense relief. "My name is Mrs. Rita Baride," she begins, her voice reflecting the profound gratitude for a crisis averted. She vividly recounts the harrowing details of their past: "We had no clean water after our borehole stopped working. The borehole had broken down for a long time, and we had to use rainwater or go far to collect water from a well which serves as a death trap to our children. Few community children have fallen into the well and died due to how deep the well is." This horrifying reality paints a grim picture of a community facing not only illness but also the constant threat of tragic accidents while seeking water. The contaminated sources led to widespread sickness, draining their meager finances on medicine. "Our children often missed school because they were too weak or busy fetching water," Mrs. Baride explains, highlighting the devastating impact on education. The pervasive lack of water also "badly affected our activities and so many businesses in the community." However, a profound transformation arrived with the intervention of Lifewater. "With Lifewater coming to our aid, the borehole is now working again, and things have gotten better," Mrs. Baride shares with immense gratitude. The successful rehabilitation of their vital water source has brought immediate and widespread relief. The impact is deeply felt throughout Kadna Kilishi. "We drink clean water, and our homes are healthier. We cook, clean, and wash without fear. Everyone is smiling again." The constant availability of clean, safe water has eliminated the fear of illness, dramatically improved public health, and restored basic hygiene practices. The community, once burdened by despair and loss, now radiates joy and relief. "Thank you so much Lifewater for being the reason behind our joy, relief and happiness. With all my heart, I say thank you. You have truly brought joy to our community," Mrs. Baride concludes, her heartfelt words echoing the collective appreciation of the entire Kadna Kilishi community. This story stands as a powerful testament to how restoring access to clean water can alleviate immense suffering, prevent tragedy, and bring invaluable health, peace, and happiness to a community that had long endured hardship.
