A message from the community
On behalf of United Methodist Compound community, we wish to thank you for the repair of our village hand pumps. Both wells are now functional and we are enjoying clean and safe water. Thanks lots. ---Community Leaders
Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)
When the hand pump serving United Methodist Compound community failed to work, the residents experienced serious shortage of clean water. However, since there are two wells serving the community, the other hand pump was still functional although the water from the well was barely enough. Both hand pumps eventually stopped working and the residents had to turn to the creeks for water. Thankfully, Lifewater funded the repair of the village hand pumps, including this one. Villagers are enjoying clean water from both wells.
