Residents of R2 Vai town in Liberia's Montserrado County relied on creeks and open hand dug wells for water for their households, including for drinking, despite having a well which is a clean source of water, however at the time, the well's hand pump was broken. Thankfully, Lifewater Canada and Lifewater Canada funded the rehabilitation of the community well, and replaced the broken hand pump. Clean and safe water is now flowing in R2 Vai community.
