Residents of Peace community were used to collecting water from a dirty shallow well in the village, but what they never got used to was nursing sick children that often fell ill after drinking from the unsafe source of water. Because the residents had no means of acquiring clean water, they reluctantly drunk and washed from the shallow well. But then, our donors funded the construction of a new well, and even installed a hand pump, thus giving the long-suffering residents of a promise of a constant flow of clean water through the new community well.
