We the residents of Balawala village, write to wholeheartedly express thanks and appreciation to you STS Lifewater family for coming to our aid in terms of the assessment on latrine and drill hand pump. Over a thousand people living in Balawala village in Lofa county could not afford clean and safe drinking water. This is because the clean drinking water was too expensive or too far from home that the villagers would often get water from the nearby creeks and swamps. The dirty sources of water would make them sick but they had no choice, until Lifewater Canada gave them a better option; Lifewater donors funded the construction of a new well and installation of a new hand pump in the community. The residents are happy to have affordable clean and safe source of water.
