We, the people of Kamulewa, write to share our greatest gratitude to Lifewater Canada and Lifewater RESCUE Kenya for working so hard and fixing our broken well. Our once old well is a new one and working well. We thank you so much for your help. Yours faithfully, Joseph Kivonia
A broken down well in Kamuelewa community sent the villagers right back to relying on unsafe sources of water. The villagers would get clean and safe drinking water from their community well, but then, its developed issues and stopped working, making clean water inaccessible, and leaving the villagers exposed to diseases as they would wash and drink from unsafe sources of water. Thankfully, our donors funded the rehabilitation of the broken-down well and replaced its old hand pump, so the community’s rehabilitated well is meeting everyone’s water needs.
