With utmost gratitude, I write on behalf of Kuka community to appreciate you for your kind gesture towards your response to drilling a borehole in our community. I pray that God who is the giver of Life will continue to replenish your treasure. Thanks Yours faithfully, Soren Shehu
Kuka is a quiet farming community in Ashara ward of Kwali Area Council, FCT Abuja. The people are mostly farmers and petty traders who depend on their farm produce and nearby markets for their livelihood. For many years, residents faced a serious challenge with access to safe water. The only available sources were an open well and a distant pond usually shared with cows. Women and children carried the burden of fetching water from these unsafe sources. Waterborne diseases became very common in the community. During dry season, the open wells would dry up, forcing women and children to walk even longer distances in search of water. Lifewater stepped in and drilled a new borehole for the people of Kuka. For the first time in many years, safe water flowed right within the community. The change was immediate and visible. Women no longer trek long distances, and children now have more time to attend school and help their parents at home. The people of Kuka appreciate Lifewater's kind efforts and support for this life-changing gift. The new borehole has brought relief, restored health, and given the community renewed strength for farm work.
