Knibuyi is a small close-knit farming community in Kwali Area Council, FCT. The people are mostly subsistence farmers while women sell local food and firewood at the Kwali market. For many years, the settlement struggled with the absence of safe, reliable water. Before Lifewater drilled a new borehole, residents fetched water from shallow hand-dug wells. The water was often dirty, especially during rainy season, and during dry season it dried up, leaving people no choice but to walk long distances in search of water, sometimes returning with just a few containers. Everything changed when Lifewater provided a new borehole to serve everyone. The impact has been profound. Children filled their jerry cans with laughter without fears of water-related illnesses, and mothers no longer spend hours fetching water. The village has enjoyed peace and health with no more dirty water or sickness. The community celebrates this new well as a vital gift that has transformed their health and daily life. The Knibuyi community thanks Lifewater for this new well. To them, this is more than water—it is life restored, a blessing that will serve generations to come.
