Agyaragu

On behalf of Agyaragu community in Angwan Yakubu, I want to use this opportunity to appreciate the effort of Lifewater Nigeria for coming down to our aid. We have been suffering for water scarcity for a very long time, our women have been going to streams far from their homes to fetch water, but this NGO has decided to rescue us from this suffering by rehabilitating our borehole. Agyaragu is a farming community in Obi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, where most families rely on the land for their income. For some time, the community's only borehole was out of order, forcing residents to travel far distances to collect water from contaminated streams. This dirty water led to frequent waterborne illnesses, especially among children and the elderly. During our visit, we rehabilitated the broken borehole and restored safe water supply to the village. The return of safe water has made daily life easier. Women no longer spend hours fetching water, and children are healthier and more able to attend school. The community is grateful to Lifewater for this vital lifeline that has brought back hope and improved well-being to Agyaragu.
