Idah Dazhogwa

On behalf of Idah Dazhogwa community, we are grateful to Lifewater Nigeria for coming to rehabilitate our village borehole. We don’t have good source of water here and the only borehole we were using spoiled for a long time until you came to our rescue. Idah Dazhogwa is a rural community in Obi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State. The people here are mostly farmers who depend on their harvests to feed their households. For several years, the community's borehole was in a dilapidated state, leaving residents with no choice but to fetch water from shallow pits and seasonal streams. During dry season, these sources dried up, and in rainy season they became dirty and unsafe. Children often suffered from infections and cholera, while women walked long distances each day in search of water with heavy jars on their backs and heads. During our visit, we fully rehabilitated the borehole. The worn-out pump was replaced and water was restored. The villagers now have peace of mind and are no longer afraid of sickness. The return of safe water has brought new strength to Idah Dazhogwa. Families save precious hours and health in the community has greatly improved. For the people here, the rehabilitated borehole is a blessing that has restored hope and gratitude to Lifewater.
