Dazhila is a close-knit farming community in Obi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, where daily life revolves around tending crops and caring for families. For months, the community's only borehole was broken, forcing residents to make long, tiring journeys to fetch water from distant streams. The contaminated water led to frequent illnesses that kept children out of school and slowed down farm work. During our visit, we didn't just fix the borehole but restored hope through safe water. We carefully rehabilitated the pump and tested the water to ensure it was safe. As safe water began to flow again, the atmosphere in Dazhila changed. Women no longer had to spend hours walking for water, freeing them to nurture their farms and families. Children returned to school healthier and more energetic.
