Women in Kabuto community who are tasked with the rile of collecting water for their families would rely on swamps to supply them with water. These sources were not safe sources of water, but their families needed water for their survival and these dirty swamps were the only accessible sources to the villagers. Thankfully, Lifewater Canada donors recently afforded the villagers clean and safe water by funding the construction of a new well in their community and even installed a hand pump. Everyone in Kabuto community is happy to have easy access to clean water from the community well.
