The Kang'ethya community in Mwingi Central Constituency, Kitui County, had long struggled with a severe shortage of clean and reliable water. For many years, residents were forced to walk several kilometres each day to fetch water from a shallow well along a river, a difficult and time-consuming task, especially during the dry seasons. Access to safe water was a daily challenge that affected their health, education, and livelihoods. However, this situation changed when Lifewater RESCUE Kenya stepped in and drilled a borehole for the community. Today, the people of Kang'ethya have access to clean and safe water much closer to their homes. The new borehole has not only eased their burden but also improved their quality of life, promoting better hygiene, health, and community development, all thanks To Lifewater Canada donors.
