Men, women and children living in Behind Displace Market village in Montserrado county would drink and wash from a nearby open hand dug well. The villagers were aware that the water from the shallow well was not safe for drinking, but collecting water from the well was a norm for the as it was the only source of water in the village. However, Lifewater Canada and Lifewater Liberia drilled a new well in the village and installed a new hand pump so that everyone in the village is able to access clean and safe drinking water.
