A message from the community

We, the residents of Days Break Mouth Open community, wish to express our utmost gratitude to Lifewater Canada and Lifewater Liberia for drilling a new well for us. We promise to take care of our hand pump as we enjoy clean and safe water. May God bless you all. ---Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Over three hundred people living in Days Break Mouth Open in Liberia's Montserrado county would drink and wash from an open well, a contaminated source of water that exposed them to waterborne diseases. The residents, although aware of a source of clean water kilometers away from them, were unable to access it because the cost of water was too high for them to afford. However, Lifewater Canada ensured that the residents could afford clean and safe drinking water by funding the drilling of a new well in the community, and installed a new hand pump. Everyone in Days Break Mouth Open community is enjoying drinking and washing from their communal well.
