A message from the community
The staff of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic School appreciates Lifewater Canada and Service to Servants for the training on Health and Hygiene. The trainees can confidently say they understand the benefits of sanitation and drinking clean and boiled water. We will put all we were taught to practice to help us and our children. ---School Leaders
Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)
The community of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic School has safe water, thanks to the repair of the hand pump on the local well through the generosity of Lifewater Canada donors in partnership with Service to Servants, a non-government organization in Liberia. However, residents still knew very little about Health and Hygiene. But through the further support of our donors, Service to Servants visited the community to teach children and adults the importance of health, hygiene, and sanitation. The lessons focused on personal hygiene and protecting the environment, including water sources.
