A message from the community

We, the Wakasi Women Group, on behalf of our community, wish to say a big thank you to Lifewater Canada and Stada Kenya for rehabilitating our well. We appreciate your effort. ---Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

The villagers of Wakasi were not able to acquire clean and safe water for over a decade after the hand pump on the village well stopped working. The residents would drink and wash from a river. This happened for so long that it became a habit. But then our donors enabled us to rehabilitate the well, including replacing its old and beaten hand pump a new one. The villagers of Wakasi are now able to access clean and safe drinking water from their rehabilitated well.
