We write this letter to Lifewater Canada and Lifewater RESCUE Kenya to express our deepest gratitude for the new well in our school. We do not just appreciate the project, but we give thanks to the level of professionalism that was applied to the process. This well is a blessing to the school and the community as it is the only source of clean water around here. We thank you for changing our lives, those of our students and the community at large. ---School Leaders |

Ndiuni Primary School in Kenya’s Kitui county would buy water from vendors who sell water collected from a far river. Lazarus Musyoka, the school’s headteacher, says water was very expensive, and so for the school to buy enough water, he had to sacrifice other necessitates such as food and stationeries. “It was even worse during the dry season when most rivers are dry and so vendors have to go very far to collect water, making the cost of water very high”, says Lazurus. Thankfully, Lifewater Canada funded the construction of a new well in Ndiuni Primary School and installed a new hand pump. The well which supplies clean water to the school as well as the community, has ensured that everyone in Ndiuni Primary School community has access to clean affordable water whether it rains or shines, literally. |
