Residents of Kalando Ugwe village in Kisumu county relied on a tapped water in the community. While the tapped water was clean for drinking, it was so unreliable that most days when the tap ran dry, the community members would collect drinking water from unsafe source which is a nearby river. However, our donors enabled us to drill a new well for Kalando Ugwe community and install a new hand pump, so everyone in the community has uninterrupted access to clean and safe drinking water. |
