A message from the community

Dear Sir: Receive greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. We appreciate Lifewater Canada so much for the continuous support in partnering with us in touching the lives of people. It touched me so much to witness teachers sharing pitlatrines with their pupils ie women teachers going to the girl’s pitlarine and men teachers going to boys pitlatrine. When l saw that l shared with the Head teacher with two Chairmen of the school management committee about how we can help them to arrest their situation. The boys toilet we did it for them year back but due to funds constraint we were to do for the boys 4 doors and two units of urinals. The other portion remained undone with six door. An idea came to me to solve the teacher’s problem and l thank God: The idea was to separate the boys unit to the unfinished side. Then for the girls unit block one side and have a one-way entrance. That brings the undone portion on the boy’s toilet a private unit and then re-design it to be a teacher’s pitlatrine well done to separate the women from the men as you can see the photos attached. The women have 3 doors and the men teachers two doors with a nice urinal. Although the unit is not yet completed, the teachers are extremely happy for it is a very big relief to them. No longer do they need to time their usage to when the pupils are not at the toilet. A completion report will be done but please see some photos attached. Thank you and God bless you. Yours in Christ, Rev. David W. Maina Managing Director
